2019 sees the 10th anniversary of the Midlands Family Business Awards and G Seller & Co has been shortlisted in the Service Excellence category.

As Charlotte Perkins, Group Managing Director of The Wilson Organisation who organise the awards adds, “We received a high number of excellent nominations across all our categories and congratulate G. Seller on your strong submission.”

Here at G. Seller we are naturally delighted to have been shortlisted, and for us this category reflects the true essence of who we are as a family firm.

As Joseph Barsby, Managing Director at G. Seller confirms, “It is a real honour for the way we work to be recognised in this way. G. Seller has been established since 1910 and has been passed down through the generations. We are proud of our heritage and well respected name in the local community for caring for families when they need us most.”

The Winner and two Highly Commended family firms in each category will be announced at a prestigious black tie Awards Ceremony & Dinner on Thursday 7 November at the King Power Stadium in Leicester.

Customer Service Excellence

Last night saw the culmination of the 2019 Leicester Mercury Business Awards where G. Seller took the title for Customer Service Excellence which was presented at a prestigious ceremony by Mazars UK.

Joseph Barsby, Managing Director of G. Seller attended with members of the team and was delighted with the result. He added, “As a business looking after families at their time of need, customer service is at the heart of what we do. In fact, it is the real essence of who we are as a business and has been for over 100 years. We have an amazing team who go above and beyond for families each and every day, recognising that we have one chance to get it right and provide the funeral they want for their loved one. We have a remarkable team and this award would not have been possible without them.”

As Amy Barsby, Director of G. Seller adds, “Winning an award for customer service is always great but when your business is about caring for people like ours, it is extra special. Our staff are fantastic and it was great that we were able to celebrate the win with them on the night. As a family we are extremely proud of what we do and for the business and our ‘extended family’ winning this award makes us immensely proud to continue to serve the families in our community.”
